The GR34 on a poster

The GR34 follows the Breton coast without ever leaving it: the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, the ramparts of Saint-Malo, Cap Fréhel, the Pink Granite Coast, the abers, the Brest roadstead, the Pointe du Raz, Concarneau, Quiberon, the Gulf of Morbihan and finally Saint-Nazaire. Two thousand kilometres of coastal path that almost nobody walks in one go.

That is exactly why the poster is made to be composed: keep the section you walked, a week from Paimpol to Roscoff, the Crozon peninsula loop, Finistère end to end, and remove the rest. The map frames your coast, not all of Brittany.

With the GPX files from your watch, the exact track replaces the stage-by-stage line, headland by headland. The harbours where you slept as stops, your dates as a subtitle.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a poster of a single section of the GR34?

Yes, that is the most common case. Remove the stages you did not walk in the editor, add your own harbours and headlands, and the map reframes on your section. Title and subtitle are free text.

How do I import my GR34 GPX track?

Export each day from Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot or Visorando as a .gpx file and drop the files into the editor. The tracks follow one another on the same map, and the total distance is calculated automatically.

Which size for such a long coastline?

For the full GR34, the 50 × 70 keeps the names readable. For a one or two week section, the 30 × 40 or 40 × 50 are more than enough.
